After the death of King Darius, Cyrus became king of Babylon. God has placed in your heart to return Jews to their homeland. A man who has done Travel far from Babylon to Jerusalem is a man named Ezra. He was admitted to a copyist. Ezra 8: 15-36. He loved the Word of God and I wanted to go so you can teach his people.
The king gave his permission to go and take people with him. Then Ezra met all of the Old Testament books were displayed in a single large size. This copy has been wonderful with him to Jerusalem.
She spent with people and taught them the Word of God. After the walls and temple were built, the people, all gathered in a large space near a door. Ezra have a chair so it would be higher than any other.
Then He rose with the roller in hand. The people have read. He read from morning till noon, and people listened. Some of the priests may have helped to read. Some of them were dispersed among the crowd to explain the meaning of difficult words, or something they did not understand.
So Ezra and Nehemiah told people not to be sad, but happy to go home and eat, and send gifts of food to needy people. It was like the day of delivery Thanks modern. Having kept this a holiday that God had commanded. It lasted seven days. Every day, gathered to hear the Word of God read.
For many, this was the first time he had heard the Word of God read. People hear the word of God every day. He spoke of the holiness of God and sin of man. People began to see the evil they did. Then he felt sad and sober. Instead of listening to the Word of God read all morning, they had to participate this time to confess your sins to God and pray for forgiveness.
One of the things that were sin is that some married women were unfaithful. This had been forbidden by God. He wanted his people to be a holy people. It knew that if boys and girls grew up in a family where the mother worshiped pagan idols and practices, the WAN to make, we, too, even adored father of the living God.
When they saw that it was a sin, they said to give unfaithful wives. Another thing is wrong they have allowed people to come inside the walls of the city on the sabbath day to sell things such as fish, fruit and wine.
Nehemiah closed doors and not allow those that have sold in the coming Saturday. I wanted to obey God's laws. The Jewish Sabbath is our Saturday, the last day of the week. Our Sunday or Lord's Day is the day that Jesus rose from the dead. You can see every week in memory of him. He wants to keep it as a holy day, also, unlike all other days of the week, since his day.
