What is the best time of day for an ADHD child to do homework?

He's 7 and it seems like his meds(Straterra)arent working well after school(he's very hyper and unfocused til bedtime) And mornings are rough because he's not awake enough.

i agree with sherasi about right after dinner...i've had foster children with ADHD and for the majority, that was the best time.
you can also talk to your child's school about your situation. is he on an IEP? if not, get him on one, and if so, he is eligible for extra help from the school. if it is difficult for him to get homework done, they can work with him at school, set some time aside with a tutor for him to get some of it done while at school.
i'm also concerned that maybe his medication isn't working properly...have you talked with his doctor about the straterra? i was under the impression that it is a time-released med that works for 24 hours...maybe his dosage needs adjusted... good luck--i understand your frustrations completely.
