Much research has been conducted on the material that children read. This has led to some very specific lists of words that represent between 60% to 85% of all words in the texts of children. These words are commonly called Sight Words or very common words and a large effort in most schools for the children memorize the words so they can experience success in reading. Our view is a combination of the words of a pair of lists. Our idea is not a substitute for systematic, explicit teaching of the curriculum which includes phonics a dose of common activities in phonemic awareness and hope children to memorize 306 words. Instead, our product designers to integrate video letters and words with high frequency so that the child can concentrate what he or she first reading. Children who have difficulty working in brain function Left learn good strategies in phonics, combined with visual effects, will help make him a fluent reader. While the child is learning from these high frequency words, to practice using our books decodable text, all in a way that is easy and fun for him, will create new neural pathways to ensure their future success in reading new words subsequently. Our goal is to give each kindergarten reading a great opportunity and success in school!
Teaching children to read using Dolch sight words:
Child1st maps words to encourage children in reading ... no matter how we looked hard to read before. For children they can not decipher are blocked at the stage of decoding, or who have little short-term memory, word of Child1st view the answer. Provide instruction Multisensory is essential reading for students with dyslexia, Asperger's, autism, ADD, poor reading comprehension, and those who learn more easily through images. For these children, offering a path to success in reading by phonics instruction with explicit visual kinesthetic elements (body movement), and tactile that offer multiple channels in the brain.
Suggestions for the use of stylized Sight Words:
Instead of add a word while a wall of words, I prefer to show the groups of words at all in a pocket of visible successes for all children, then play some games and word wall activities that are in the free booklet, A stylized SnapWords Use with Activities that accompanies each order of the view in Word. There is many activities to teach sight words such as "pop up" in which children take turns popping up to identify and read a word they know. As the days pass, choose what words can be set aside to clear that all words were given in the table. While the phrase is always shown, children can work together to create short sentences or phrases of words like "see me run!"
The Early Childhood of the application:
Even in preschool and kindergarten, learning to recognize these high-frequency words becomes a breeze when you have our word of view is shown in a chart. Children are attracted to them and love hanging out where the words are. You'll be amazed to know what happens in these situations!

Shock, horror, do not dream of teaching a baby! And yet you do. Every waking moment. It teaches you to recognize any in your garden at home and as his world widens, his environment. As the liaison between you and your baby grows, it becomes knowledge. As you learn, learn. "But you say:" That's not teaching. It's just being with my baby. " Rest assured, is a teacher. It is also true that education in a nursery or Playgroup Pre-School. You are the first and best teacher of his son. You know better than any teacher ever and, above all, that is to have one at school in support of safer ground. However, assuming that you teach your baby, why you think it's wrong to teach that "this picture is an" asset, but is, "This picture is a puppy. Why color a kite, but a good color k bad? Babies are the students and the spontaneous potential This period undervalued is always bright and lost.
Why teach a baby?
For forty years I have been witness to the damage caused by the cold, "Look and Guess reading methods. For forty years I have received a damaged child after another. All have been labeled emotionally has been forced to commit to memory every word of every book they read. New words may be difficult to meet. Reading it aloud is hesitant and meaningless while silent reading is like trying to decipher a foreign language. In 10 years, 11, 12, 13, 14 and beyond were constantly bombarded with the understanding of any text, regardless simple. These children had no effective catalyst for the transformation of a mixture of letters and words into meaningful information. Ridiculed daily by peer groups - and if I may say so often by teachers - which are labeled as remedial. At best, they are in dead-posts final work, always intimidated and fear rejection. At worst, if not overcome their inhibitions, they develop a strong resistance to authority and the outcome in court. It was the stupid kids, stupid or slow, they were all brilliant, but these first crucial years have never been used - they have never learned to read and thus never developed thinking skills, understanding and critical analysis. Each child is "slow" I saved turned out to be a very intelligent boy who had lived in a world totally incomprehensible.
How does this affect YOUR CHILD?
Despite the fact that our children begin school in the UK rather than in any other country in Europe and tested over and over again, a large percentage can not read or can read only with difficulty. While denying the clear evidence that the rules have been simplified down, our government has finally recognized the cause of literacy problems in the UK and recommended teaching phonics.Sadly is a Half-measures will wash the road system called "aural record, where you learn phonic sounds, but the texts themselves are still harmful guessing used.
However, as a specialist in phonicsI applaud the fact that children have at least learned that words are composed of sounds, a small step in the right direction.
There are, however, many teachers and principals who refuse to join the sound system. Given all the evidence for demonstrate that Phonics - the system whereby 96 years taught me and my mother had taught him - Is the only way to successfully teach all children to read. "Look and Guess" so easy, and not to a segment of the population, fast and simple, and that's why these people refuse to change.
And here is where your baby takes center stage.
A teacher who encourages him to guess the words, either through the image search for clues, store them in another context of the lesson or know equipped with an appropriate word in the sentence will be years of damage to your child and your future. At age 14 he read "biblical" "for the" biography "land" to "ready banker" for the "fill". To avoid such damage, you may start in nursery for your baby.
Place the letters of the alphabet around the nursery, then offers a cheerful "hello" "A" or "b" on the walls or 'c' on the ground or 'd' seated in the nose of Teddy. This small beginning is the beginning of your child from becoming a great player.
Synthetic phonics, I've always learned from the training school in New Zealand in fifties, speed reading is just fabulous phonetics. Babies and preschoolers can be a painful way to the top literacy with fun and laughter.
For those who have decided to home schooling, reading of your child is essential to achieve excellent standards in each subject. Children do not come with operating instructions, the parents, everything is a wonderful way with many obstacles. Reading your child have to be one of them.
